Halloween Cooking and Crafts

As you may know from following my blog, when we celebrate in class - we celebrate hard! We do themed weeks for holidays - the kids absolutely LOVE it!

Here is a quick look at some of the crafts and cooking that we have done this past week for Halloween!

One of our kiddos loves pacman, so we made pacman style ghosts. We used some glue to draw out the shop of the ghosts then used glitter over the glue and added some googly eyes.

This year we decided to do something a little bit different and we made these funky skulls. The kids loved looking at different designs of funky skulls.

We always like to include a bit of sensory so we use some cotton wool balls to make these fun, 3D ghosts. We attached some ribbon to the top of them to hang them up around the classroom to make it feel a bit spooky!

All the Frankenstein crafts we were looking at were just too complicated for our kiddos, but this one went down perfect. They were able to do a lot of it with just some verbal prompting and really enjoyed making these.

We do a lot of baking, but we decided to include some different types of treats too. These are cheese strings with some chocolate icing added on to make a ghost face.

We like to include some fruits too - so we made these spooky ghosts bananas. Simply cut bananas up and use some chocolate icing to make the ghost face.

And finally - please excuse the messy table, this was the best place for a photo to show you our scary grape monster cups! Simply use some bananas for eyes in the middle of all the grapes then draw on the outside of the cup the eyes and a spooky face!

  1. LOVE the square Frankenstein!!!! I'm going to have to do that in my class. Thanks for the idea

  2. I love the spooky fruit! They look easy enough for my preps to make.

  3. Ahhh....the string cheese snacks are SO cute!

  4. I agree everything looks like so much fun...I LOVE the cheese sticks and are going to make them with my grankids!!!
