Olympics: Bagel Fun

Today is officially the start of the Summer Olympics. Can you believe it's here already? So, what better way than to have some Olympic fun with your food today to really cheer in the Olympics.

These bagels are so much fun, plus you can use whatever toping(s) you want to, so long as it follows with the Olympic rings colour (the idea is that once completed they form the colours of the Olympic rings).

It's also a great way to encourage your students to taste new foods/ingredients that they may not otherwise come across.

(You can find the ingredients of what we have used on the bottom of this blog post.)

What you will need:
  • Pack of bagels
  • Cream cheese
  • Different fruits/toppings: Red, blue, black, green, yellow
What you will need to do:
  • Lightly toast the bagel halfs
  • Spread cream cheese across the bagels
  • Add toppings on top of the cream cheese
and that's it!

If you want to copy the ingredients we have used they are as follows:

Blue bagel: Cream cheese and chopped blueberries
Black bagel: Cream cheese and black grapes chopped in half
Red bagel: Cream cheese and tomatoes chopped in half
Yellow bagel: Cream cheese and sliced pineapples
Green bagel: Green coloured icing.
