Greek Olympics Crown

As my followers may be aware, the class have been very busy recently working on lots of different activities related to the theme of the Summer Olympics.

This week we looked more into the start of the Olympics and some of the Greek crowns!

At first, we weren't sure if the children would be able to cope with it - it was sure to be time consuming and very fiddly, but they all loved it!

We used a paper plate, cut out the middle and a small chunk of the side to give a C shape. We then cut out leaves in lots of different shade of green card.

We used PVA glue to cover one side of the crown and then the children were free to put lots of leaves on to decorate! Once they were dry, the children had loads of fun parading around the classroom in their crowns!
