Five for Friday! 2.10.15

Woop Woop, it's the first Friday of October!
Who else loves October? I love it because it means Halloween is here! I love all the different holidays and seeing how everyone celebrates them!

So, this weeks Five for Friday is a bit of a quick one - we are due out tonight for a family party for a birthday! So I am trying to get ready, but I couldn't not take part in a Five for Friday!

Don't forget, if you want to take part in this great linky just click the picture below to go over to Doodle Bugs Teaching and read all about it!

Our current theme/topic in class is the three little pigs, and we have been doing lots of fun arts and crafts! This week we made a Wolf mask! The kids love doing stuff like this and it's just so easy to put together! What do you think of him?!

Today we've been swimming - we go every Friday with the kiddos. It's great fun and the kids love it! But you don't half smell the chlorine afterwards!! So it's off for a big full on bath as soon as I get home before we go out tonight!

Swimming is so great for our children - they learn so much and it really does help improve them - plus it means a morning out on a Friday which means the day goes super quick! It's so great to watch the children progress and become more confident in themselves! Some of our kiddos have gone on to become truly amazing little swimmers!

We have been doing letter of the week activities this year and this week was the letter t - so we did tomato printing!

I forgot to get a picture though - my bad! Basically, we had a picture of a black and white tomato template. Then we cut a tomato in half, put it on the end of a big cocktail stick and the students dipped it into red paint then onto the tomato - tomato printing! A usual twist on the fruit painting but so much fun!

(We work in phonics order, we haven't got from a - t in just a few weeks don't worry!)

I am still trying to get used to all the different holidays that Schools celebrate around the World and incorporate them into my TpT store - as you all know I love anything seasonal! At the moment i'm filling it up with Columbus Day - this is my newest resource and it will be uploaded onto my store over the weekend - as soon as i get a spare few moments!

Tonight is a night out for us for a family birthday so i'm leaving this short and sweet so i can finish getting ready! It's a night for the bright orange trousers to make an appearance! Don't worry - they're not as bad as they sound!!! Maybe i'll get a photo for once to show you!
