Five for Friday

Can you believe it's Friday AGAIN? This week has been crazy busy and I have SO much to do in the next couple of days, on a strict deadline - I don't know if I'll get it all done!! EEEK! It's going to be a busy weekend!

Anyway, once again it's time for Five for Friday link up courtesy of Doodle Bugs Teaching. Be sure to hop on over and check out her blog!

So to try and whittle down this week to 5 things is quite hard, but then when I try to whittle it down to 5 INTERESTING things it gets a little difficult. I mean do you really want to know EVERYTHING I do? Well actually, us human creatures are very nosey - so the answer is probably yes! This weeks numbers are going to be Christmassy themed...read number 1 for reasons why...

SO, on the 13th and 14th of July I am taking part in the Christmas in July Sale (check back here on those days for AMAZING discounts). This is where a large group of us TpT sellers have hooked up and done a mini sale together. If you type in 'christmasinjuly' in the TpT search bar on those dates there are going to be loads of discounted Christmas products - so exciting! I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!

There are going to be some AMAZING discounts on products including a fabulous freebie for those days ONLY then it will be made into a paid product - so be sure to check out my store on those days not to miss out!

SO, next up, my Netflix binge. Yep, I gave in. I had a Netflix binge. With 5 more days left of School I really felt the need to have a binge last Sunday so I did! Loads of my teachy friends have been raving about 'Once Upon a Time.' My first thought? Nah so not me! I am one for Prison Break, 24 etc. but I thought I'd give it a go. I AM HOOKED. I watched 13 episodes in a day. I took the binge to the next level!

Have you been having a Netflix binge? What are your favorite series at the moment?

We are coming up to the end of the year.. which means two of our children are leaving our little primary class and moving on up. So, in true nature of all us crazies we decided to do a mini graduation for them. We've made suitcases full of photos and work to send home, graduation people with certificates, a graduation video. SO MUCH FUN! The children don't understand much of what's going on so we haven't done too much but we've done enough for them to have some fun with it all!

We have been chatting to a consultant at an emigration company. It all sounds fab and we've been given the green light - we can definitely emigrate! Now we just need to sort funds, see if we have enough to progress right now and if so we could be out in Canada within the next 18 months! Time for lots of save save saving!

I've learnt a few things the hard way lately. With lots of passings of such lovely people and awful diseases; cancer, it has really woken me out of my bubble the past few days. I've decided to make a list of all the things that I would LOVE to achieve through my life. I am going to aim to tick at least one thing off the list each year. Some things counteract with each other and I am still trying to figure myself out. I intend to use the Summer to see which way I am truly going to go.  Either way, I know I want to continue to expand my blog, include lots more ASD content, reach out to families of Autism and of course continue to create excellent quality resources to help all those around the World who have been purchasing from me so far.

Thanks for reading my Five for Friday,

Nikki

  1. Good luck with your Christmas in July sale!! I just heard about it through the link up today, sounds like it will be really awesome! I too am a binge watcher of Netflix, and get upset with Netflix asks me if I'm still watching. Um, yes, yes I am. I binge with Orange is the New Black, Criminal Minds, The West Wing, and Numbers to name a few!! :-) Are you thinking of moving to Canada? That sounds like an incredible adventure! I wish you luck in whatever choices you determine for your future!
Thank you for sharing your 5 with us, it was so much fun to read!

    1. Thank you! I hope it's going to be really popular! I'm sure it will be :) I know I hate that! Of course I am definitely still watching!!! Today though I'm multi tasking... I'm having a Netflix Binge while working on the laptop so that doesn't count, right?! I love Criminal Minds! I haven't gotten around to the rest that you mentioned though, will have to add them to my list to watch over the Summer!! Yes, it's been in the pipeline for a little while, we really wanted to go to USA but it was just SO hard to get into it, I don't think we ever would have got there, but then we fell in love with Canada! It's just about making sure we are financially secure now before doing it! It's why I hope to really push my resources over the Summer to keep building up :) Thank you so much for your kind comments!

  2. I love that you shared your Netlfix binge! Ha! My hubby and I did the same thing a few summers ago - and it was with Once Upon a Time! I was totally hooked too! Hope you have an awesome Christmas in July Sale! How did you get connected with that? I'm new to this blogging thing, and would love to glean from your wisdom! I also think it's so cool you are putting together a graduation for your two students that are moving on. I know it's a lot of work, but I am sure it will mean the world to them and their families! Hope you have a great weekend!

    1. It's addictive isn't it?! Yes the twists sometimes lose me a little bit because I wasn't expecting them - like Snow White's daughter and her son etc. but it's great once you get into it! I'm sure just starting season 2 now! If you send me your email address I will send you the link to get involved in it all :) Definitely get involved with more linkup parties, I have made a lot of good collaborations through it. Thank you, it is our last week this week so I can't wait to see how it all pans out! I'll try and grab a picture of the stuff we have made I think! :)

  4. Where in Canada are you looking to move? My mother-in-law is from Nova Scotia and so we have traveled to many parts of it to visit family. Calgary was my favorite area. Love the mountain view! Good luck with your move!
