Currently July and Baking!

Woohoo it's that time again - one of my favorite blog link-ups with Oh Boy 3rd Grade!

I love that she has designed it around the Women's World Cup! Personally, I love football/soccer (sorry american friends, still trying to get used to this american lang!) but I have been so busy I just haven't had a chance to watch any of it. But I think the girls have literally taken over the World!

So boys (men) beware... the girls (women) are here to stay!!

So, anyway, before I go completely off-topic and start rambling on and on about how much I love football (soccer WAA SORRY!) I will get on with the July currently. This one was quite hard, at the moment my head is ALL OVER THE PLACE!

Listening - to the fan. It has been very hot here the past few days (we do NOT get hot weather so this is a nice welcome). However, when it's hot here, it's not a nice hot, it's a sticky yucky hot. The past few days have been lovely yet today when we take the kids out for a trip and to the park naturally it starts to rain and go horrible, then 4pm it starts to lighten up again - typical! But I love the sun, so I'm sat in the window with my macbook typing away to you guys - well kind of - with my drink (in my minion cup duh), watching Emmerdale with the fan on. It's so noisy but so lovely and cooling!

Loving - two weeks left. Well two weeks and one day. Well really if we want to get all super picky here (yep) its two weeks and half a day. That's 11.5 days. WE CAN DO THIS! I think. I hope. I'm not sure! Then there's the 6 weeks summer holidays to look forward to and our lovely vacation to Florida & New York at the end of August. Although with all the stresses that the end of the School year brings, I have been looking at lovely little staycations for a weekend away the first weekend we break up, this is looking a lovely possibility....

So calm, relaxing, peaceful, not too far away.. Yep it looks good.

Moving on...

Thinking - about my nan. Today we were told how my nan has Lung Cancer. It's bad, they can't operate, they can offer treatment to extend her chances but obviously there is nothing they can do to get rid of it. Life is so cruel. On top of this, we get told today that one of our colleague's lost her Dad last night suddenly. It was just 2 weeks ago that my old college lecturer passed away. Life can be so cruel. Cancer can be cruel and it seems to haunt my family. It's really pushing me to make myself realise that we really don't ever know for certain that we will see tomorrow, we need to enjoy, smile, stop and have fun, we never know what's around the corner, life is too short to be unhappy.

Wanting - to emigrate. It's no secret. Me and my partner want out of the UK. We want to go to Canada but it just feels every time we think we are a step closer, we hit a brick wall - sigh. We are hoping now that we have tried to involve an emigration company it will speed up the process. We can hope.

Needing - a break away. As mentioned above, the stresses of end of year really do put it's toll on us all. Especially when we are short staffed! The stress is real my friends. For this reason a break away would be fantastic to help me cool down, relax, refresh and prepare myself to get back into resource making mode this Summer. Refer back to my pic above of where I would like to go ;)

So this one I had to go back and read to make sure I knew what it really was. It's basically what we are best at. I feel like I'm best at support. I'm a good listener, 9 times out of 10 I can think up the right words to say, I feel that I really can support people, push them to achieve their best and motivate them.
